Introducing Osuoha Rosemary! Based in Nigeria, Rosemary is a Freelance technical SEO specialist based in Nigeria. She loves auditing, fixing website issues, and helping small businesses improve their rankings on search engines.
It started in Pharmacy school. I was working as a freelance content writer to support my education. Back then, I was searching for thought leaders to learn from. So one day, my sister suggested I follow chima mmeje founder of Freelance Coalition For Developing Countries (FCDC). I joined FCDC and developed an interest for technical SEO.
Soon, I had the opportunity to be tutored on Technical SEO by Jamie Indigo, thanks to FCDC. I have been glued to SEO ever since.
Auditing and analyzing websites. I love that part where I have to fit in the puzzle with all the information I gather from my research and then watch it all fall into place.
Lumar! I love how I can connect tools to it in addition to it being cloud-based.
For me, it was when I saw significant traffic from targeting zero-volume keywords. I remember being skeptical at first, but I did eventually and It played out fine in the end.
I have so many proud moments of my career. But then putting myself out there stands out for me. It was a huge step I always wanted to take, but I lacked self-esteem. So, I made it my core goal for 2024.Through this decision, I have made awesome friends and have had mind-blowing opportunities
Build your website from the beginning and learn on the go. Courses are great but owning a website gives you that practical experience.
Leverage communities, especially a non-judgmental space like Women in Tech SEO.
Don’t be afraid to take on opportunities you don’t feel qualified for. Because sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them.
Finally, be kind to yourself, and know that growth isn't linear.
I draw strength from chima mmeje for literally everything LOL.
I love how Tory Gray shares her knowledge on the WTS Slack channel, runs her company, and speaks on different podcasts. She is one superwoman!
And Lily Ray? I love how opinionated she is. She also inspires me that is ok to be passionate about two different career fields.
For me, it is knowing that there are brilliant women who attained a seemingly "impossible" level for a woman. And they are more than willing to help other women get there.
