Interviewing Iquo Inyang

Introducing Iquo Inyang! Based in the USA, Iquo teaches entrepreneurs and business owners how to leverage tech so that they can save time, automate more, and scale their businesses with ease. She has always been an unwavering optimist with big dreams and has known that she wanted to run her own business for as long as she can remember.

She is a native of Eugene, OR, and is a wife and a mother of a 7-year-old and 2-year-old. She was pregnant and on maternity leave during the pandemic when she grew her Digital Marketing Agency by 500%. She dreamed of having the financial freedom to support her loved ones and wanted to live a life with purpose and in alignment with her values. She strives to wake up each day feeling excited and inspired by her work. She has had pivots, hiccups, and adventures along the way, and feels incredibly grateful to say that she has achieved many of her biggest dreams. She helps people improve their website health and reflect their online brand. More importantly, she wants to help people find their ideal customer online.


She specializes in Local SEO/Tech SEO, Content Marketing, Content optimization, Keyword Research, and WordPress Web Design. She is a networker and connector at heart and would love to see businesses thrive and grow beyond their imagination. She likes to say, "... anyway that I can partner with business owners to level up their business is a good day for me."


We asked her everything from how she first got into SEO to what empowers her to be the brilliant woman she is 💪🏽


How did you get into SEO?

I was a stay-at-home mom and started working for a content agency to create some side cash. Initially, I wanted to learn to blog to build my blog to support my quilting habit.


I was promoted to Content Management and learned to do keyword research and create content briefs. I was bit by the SEO bug, searching the internet to learn everything I could. In my search for information, I found the Women in Tech SEO Facebook group. They gave me the courage to dig deeper and get paid to learn with my agency. Four years later, I still love it.

What is your favourite SEO task?

Keyword research

What is your go-to tool or resource that you can't live without?

Ahrefs

What is something you learned in SEO that made you have an 'AHA' moment?

Drilling down keywords to find effect but easy to rank for keywords.

What is your proudest industry achievement?

Helping a crowdfund raise $250K in the final leg of fundraising little over a month. We entered the game late and had the best ROI compared to other marketers hired for longer duration.

What advice would you give women who are starting out in SEO?

Join Women in Tech SEO group, they are the single greatest resource on the web. These women are brilliant and love to support your growth
