Delia is the Content Manager at Homevest, where she creates content to explain cross-border mortgages as simply and understandably as possible. She loves indie magazines and always pays attention to every ad she interacts with.
I've always considered myself a multidisciplinary communicator, having explored different fields over the years—social media, marketing, content writing, PR, and, I must say, SEO fills my heart with joy. My passion for writing and the empathy I've developed through diverse experiences in industries such as education, fashion, finance, and mortgages naturally led me to SEO.
Three years ago, I began working as a Freelance Content Writer for a finance business, marking the start of my SEO journey. I quickly realized that I could write about any topic as long as I kept the customer in mind and conducted thorough research. This curiosity drove me to deepen my understanding of SEO, and what better way to learn than by doing? I grew alongside the business—and continue to do so.
Keyword research and crafting creative briefs for content are definitely my favorite SEO tasks. I enjoy delving into the intentions behind every query, sometimes spending hours on it! Social listening often leads to 'aha' moments, as I try to understand the audience's pain points. One of my guilty pleasures is reading internet comments, which helps me grasp people's concerns on various subjects.
Every morning, I start by checking Google Search Console and Ahrefs. Google Drive, PageSpeed Insights, and Grammarly are also essential tools I rely on.
Your gut instinct can lead to success, especially when backed by expertise and experience. It's worth experimenting with new approaches as long as you maintain a customer-centric focus.
Working in a startup environment provided hands-on experience, and with a small team, we achieved significant milestones, generating over 140,000 clicks and 3 million impressions on Google within just 1.5 years.
Besides empowering people to make informed decisions, I feel proudest when my work is featured as a resource for other businesses. It feels as if different stakeholders have recognized its value. Organic backlinks motivate me to continuously improve quality, ensure it meets user intent, and add value.
Be open and ready to experiment. You won't know if something is working until you monitor the changes closely. Don't be afraid of data; once you become comfortable with it, you'll enjoy seeing the numbers reflect your work.

I'm passionate about my work, always eager to learn, and open to trying new things. Seeing my efforts pay off pushes me to keep improving. Also, I strive daily to cultivate more gratitude and be humble to keep myself grounded.
